Diagonalis is suitable for children aged 6 and up. The modular marble run system encourages experimentation, building, and discovery, while growing alongside children’s creativity. Older children – and often even adults – also enjoy designing new marble runs again and again.

Diagonalis is produced in Switzerland. Manufacturing takes place in collaboration with the Brändi foundation in the canton of Lucerne. This is where the individual components are produced, the marble runs are assembled, and the play sets are packaged.

The marble run is primarily made from carefully selected wood. Additional components are produced from sustainable materials and coloured with child-safe, non-toxic paints. The result is a durable and robust wooden toy.

When developing Diagonalis, special attention was paid to durable materials and Swiss production. The wood is carefully selected, and the remaining components are also made from sustainable materials using child-safe paints.

Diagonalis is not a traditional marble run, but a modular system. The insert tiles allow players to build and redesign endless new tracks. The idea for Diagonalis was born in Oberburg in the Emmental region. There, Rolf Rütter developed the marble run in his workshop and tested it together with his children and later with his grandchildren.

Yes, Diagonalis is not only fun but can also be considered an educational toy. The wooden marble run encourages children to experiment, understand connections, and develop their own solutions. While building the marble runs, children playfully strengthen spatial thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and fine motor skills. At the same time, Diagonalis remains first and foremost a marble run designed for play, free discovery, and experimentation.
